Wax & Mac Lethal Tour Wraps Up

Make a recording of…

It may the 2nd, informal definition of Wax – but it is the most accurate moniker for someone who is still a hero to millions.

“It’s a lot of **** I done been through/But all that I can do is continue.” – Wax, “Continue”

Continue… is more than just a name for the new album from L.A.-based emcee Wax. It’s a declaration — one that lets everybody know that after a few detours he is excited to move forward to the next phase of his career.

The versatile artist, who famously split with recording giant Def Jam, is more than just a rapper who gained international fame with his YouTube videos. His brand of entertainment includes everything from a series of binge-worthy restaurant reviews, frequent podcasts and a comedic insight into life, work, and hip-hop.

The 48-city tour, which was co-headlined by fellow YouTube sensation Mac Lethal, has now wrapped up.

After fronting the band MacGregor, L.A.-based rapper Wax broke off on his own and launched a solo career by posting his videos to online sharing sites. Grabbing fans quickly with his wit and fluid style, Wax earned more than enough “views” to interest Def Jam, and he signed a deal with the major label in 2011. While disagreements on how his future would pan out caused the marriage to dissolve in 2012,

Wax was happy to go independent and looked toward his established online fans to carry his career to the next level. When he dropped the track “Rosana” – coincidentally in Germany – EOM and his tracks received more airplay in late 2012. The hit track landed on his 2013 album, Continue.

“I don’t want to be somebody who just does one big thing and that’s it,” he says.

“Longevity is important because I love what I do. And I will express myself honestly for as long as people will listen.”

With Continue… Wax proves unquestionably he has the skills to be around for a very long time.
