10 Minutes From Here Hits FUBAR Friday Night

If you could combine The Jam, XTC, The Animals, The Doors, The Kinks, The Clash and a little dash of The Who, you might have their sound.

“Nah…hell, we sound like ourselves,” says John McCoy.

For the first time, Fubar is proud to showcase one of the area’s top bands. 10 Minutes From Here is an explosive, high energy band from St. Petersburg, Florida that brings a fresh new sound to the local rock scene.

Original. Contemporary. Singable. Danceable. Memorable.

If you feel the need to pigeon hole them, just think of that classic 60’s sound – with an edge.

Fresh off of their perfomance before a packed house last month at 3 Daughters Brewery, John McCoy (Guitar, Keyboard, Vocals), Jack Frederick (Drums, Percussion, Vocals), and Matt Shelley (Bass, Vocals) are gearing up for what will surely be an incredible evening in DTSP.

The eclectic lineup begins at 9 P.M. – with no cover charge. In addition to themsevles, they have invited special guests Twisty Chris and the Pudding’ Packs and the intriguing “FunkyUrbanAppalachianReggaeSoulaDelic” sound of Trenchfoot Shindig.

This is going to be one hell of a fun, high energy night. Bring your dancin’ shoes, and get ready to cut a rug.
